Bucharest
Hello, I’m Ioana! I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist under supervision, with a primary training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I completed my CBT master’s degree at the University of Bucharest and finished the basic training at ATCCPR. I work with adolescents and adults, tailoring the approach to each person’s needs. In therapy, we often address anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), emotional and relational difficulties, trauma, self-esteem issues, impulsivity, maladaptive eating behaviors, challenges at school or work, as well as difficulties related to identity, relationships and personal boundaries. An important aspect of my practice is supporting individuals who face social pressures or unhealthy relationships, as well as supporting the process of regaining personal safety and autonomy. My practice is also an open and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ individuals and members of minority groups, where diversity is respected and everyone’s experiences are validated. The therapeutic relationship is built on collaboration, clarity, and mutual respect. Together, we work to understand what is happening, what maintains the difficulties and what can be changed, at a pace that is manageable and realistic for you. Sessions can be held either in-person at the office or online, depending on what works best for you. If you feel the need for a space where you can be yourself, exactly as you are right now, you can find it here.
