Hello, My name is Ioana, and I am an integrative psychotherapist trained in the Focusing method. An important pillar of integrative psychotherapy is the therapeutic relationship. We live through relationships, and we heal through relationships. For me, it is important to create a space of safety, acceptance, and gentleness where you can explore what is causing you difficulties. The therapeutic relationship will be the space where you can allow yourself to show the complexity of your emotions, untangle the unknown threads you encounter, and create new connections that bring you closer to what you truly desire. In life, we go through moments when we need clarity and direction. These moments can come with fear and confusion. In therapy, you can shape new understandings of the situations you face as well as resources to navigate them. To reach these understandings and go towards change, it may be necessary to look towards those parts of the self that are wounded. At your own pace, you can look towards these parts to understand how they unconsciously guide your present decisions. What to expect? The method I work with may invite you to explore topics such as attachment developed in childhood, relational traumas, and parts that block or sabotage your potential. At the same time, you can create a healing relationship with your body, emotions, and thoughts. Through Focusing, you can access a space of connection with your body and the answers it needs to offer you. Through this method, you can move towards your own felt sense of the entire situation you are facing. Generally, this moment brings release and confidence in the direction you wish to move forward.
