Overview

About me

I have always been drawn to the unknown aspects of the human psyche, and my passion for psychology has been present since high school. For me, psychology represents more than just a science of mental processes; it is rather a journey of self-completion that, due to it's subtle and profound nature, aims at individualization, healing, and transformation. A primary goal in psychotherapy is to provide a safe environment for the other person where they can express themselves freely and transform difficult emotions to uncover the wisdom buried in darkness. As the poet and theologian Rumi said, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” Thus, we can come to see our wounds not as obstacles but as pathways to happiness, where our emotional vulnerabilities and sensitivities are passages. Initiating this inner journey is, first and foremost, an act of courage and helps us give meaning to our problems in a conscious way that allows us to engage in our own transformation. At the same time, I believe that psychotherapy represents a shared journey in which, like the person in front of me, I too am continuously evolving. This evolution occurs both personally and professionally, driven by the significant responsibility inherent in this profession. My professional training began at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, UBB, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology. At the same faculty, I also completed a master’s program specializing in Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counseling, and Psychotherapy. As I delved deeper into my studies, I was able to add a range of psychotherapeutic skills and techniques to my innate empathy and compassion. Becoming a member of the College of Psychologists of Romania, I obtained a license for clinical psychology and psychotherapy practice, and I am currently undergoing training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy through the Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapies. My training and interests focus on emotional issues such as depression and the broad spectrum of anxiety disorders, eating disorders, personality disorders, relationship problems, and trauma. I also concentrate on issues related to self-esteem, abandonment, and other overwhelming problems that hinder the capacity for change or growth. My personal creed includes the importance of human values that guide our priorities and actions as individuals, and I believe that an effective therapeutic process prioritizes the client’s highest good. In my psychotherapeutic practice, I rely on scientifically validated techniques of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, including other therapeutic approaches within this paradigm, such as Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
